NLP Crew

The Natural Language Processing Crew (NLP Crew) is focused on building sharable corpora, theoretical work, and implementations of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for African and low resources languages using various approaches namely neural (deep learning, transformers), probabilistic, and knowledge-driven.

NLP Crew is located at University of Abomey Calavi (UAC) in Benin. While it is mainly a local group of students and researchers with a strong interest in NLP and AI here in Benin, it has connections to partners all over West Africa.

We meet online weekly and in person once a quarter. (Please send us an email if you're willing to join.)
